Kristin Charging

Another ski season is starting to ramp up. Movie trailers are coming out. Ski swaps abound. Avi forcast center fundraisers begin.Colors haven't quite began to change in Seattle yet, but Kristin and I are already starting mkae plans, goals, pick lines etc.

While I'd like to take credit for teaching Kristin to ski, how far she has come is due to her skills as an incredible athlete, her desire to never be left behind (she hates it!), and her love of the mountains.  She's put in a lot of long, frustrating days learning, falling, crossing her tips, and finally getting the deepest face shots of the day. She's worked hard to get to this point and I couldn't be more proud of her. She was able to start touring with me last season and we had some killer days.  To put her progress in context, she started skiing 2.5 years ago. Her first year was cut short after breaking her back cliff diving. I think I still had wedgies screwed on my tips at that point. Here is a vid we put together  of 2 great days we had skiing the Wasatch backcountry and slackcountry.  Here's to you babe, and many more days like these!
