Seattle, Vancouver, 510(k)'s, and Thunder
The last two weeks have been busy. The Wasatch has recieved over 160" of snow but an impending 510(k) FDA submission at work, and a trip to interview at my top 2 choices for Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programs, Unviersity of Washington in Seattle, and University of British Columbia in Vancouver, have limited my skiing to pre-dawn turns and weekend gaunts. After the 15th, I'll once again be free to keep chipping away at my Tick List for this last season in the Wasatch before Kristin and I head off to the Pacific Northwest to start grad school, new adventures, and climb and ski an entire new mountain range come this August.
On Saturday,Kristin and I headed to Wolverine with Steve Lloyd. I haven't been back there since participating in an unfortunate and unsuccessful rescue last January (2008). It was good to reflect on what I've learned from that experience, how grateful I am for every day I have to spend in the mountains, and how it's influenced my decision making so I can always ski another day with my friends.

I've spent more time skinning in the dark than skiing in the sun over the last 2 weeks. But at least I'm getting turns in.
