Wasatch Tick List

After 23 years, 9 of them touring, this will be my final season skiing in the Wasatch. Kristin and I will be moving to either Seattle or Vancouver where I will be starting a graduate school as well as exploring a new mountian range. Needless to say we are PSYCHED!

April 28, 2001: I skied Bonkers with Dan Stucki in the morning and watched a few wet slides peel off in the afternoon. Two climbers died in Stairs Gulch, just over the ridge in a massive wet slide that same day.

A month ago, I wrote down on a napkin the lines in the Wasatch I felt I needed to ski (or re-ski in some instances). To make this an official list of "Goals" I'm listing them here. Other friends of mine have their own lists, so I'll be adding other lines to this list as I ski them.

I am hopeful that with the new snow Utah has received in the first 2 weeks of April that the majority of these lines will stay skiable for a while.....
